The Central Pa. Gardening team comprises four folks who share two things: we all live in the Harrisburg, Pa., area, and we’re all lovers of gardens and gardening.
Kenny Point is a veggiemeister who’s been gardening since the age of nine. He currently tends a third of an acre in suburban Harrisburg that looks as good as it tastes, and he’s the blogger behind one of the webdom’s biggest and best vegetable-gardening sites: www.veggiegardeningtips.com.

Laura Mathews is former photo editor for The Harrisburg Patriot-News who’s morphed into a garden writer, garden designer, garden photographer, garden blogger (www.punkrockgardens.com) and just plain soil-addicted gardener. She’s having a grand time replacing lawn with plants all over her in-town Cumberland County yard.

George Weigel is a Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist, long-time garden columnist for The Patriot-News, owner of the Garden House-Calls consulting business for do-it-yourselfers and the impetus behind www.georgeweigel.net. Once in awhile he gets to play in his own suburban Cumberland County yard, which is actually more of a plant test lab than anything.

Sue Weigel is George’s lovely wife and a registered nurse by training. For years, she’s been to the same garden-writer conferences, public-garden jaunts and plant excursions as George, so she’s a seasoned garden researcher by osmosis (or default). Her favorite activity is closeup-flower photography, and she’ll be the engine that keeps this site chugging along.
